A question was recently posted to MetaFilter on how to tell if your company is in trouble. Followed are responses from many people, including these:

*Lots of closed doors that usually were open.
*Outsiders touring the facilities.
*Lots of spreadsheets being produced for outsiders regarding cash flow and finance.
*Usually talkative boss’ assistant goes silent.

Motley Fool, a great site for financial advice which is in my RSS Reader, offered some good basic advice on how to make the most of what you earn, with a focus on those in debt:
